Members of West Norfolk Junior Badminton had been back in action after the first lockdown.

BADMINTON: West Norfolk Junior Badminton has had a difficult start to the new season.

Unable to use its regular base at KES Academy in King’s Lynn, the development squad secured courts at Lynnsport.

Coronavirus restrictions meant the squad had to reduce numbers per session. However, members had been able to play at YMCA Juniors and West Norfolk Academy, run by WNJB coaches Janis Baker and Ben Watts.

Level 2 coach Ben Watts has taken over as head coach, assisted by Level 1 coach and top county player Jess Bateman.

Players are invited by junior club coaches across the borough to attend development squad training. As players progress, they can be recommend to Norfolk Junior County Association assessments.

Squad manager Roger Cetti and coach Norma Bowen assist at training sessions to ensure coronavirus safety rules were met. The club thanks Russen and Turner for their support.
