An inquest into the death of a three-month-old baby has been suspended until January.
Eleanor Easey was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital on December 18 last year, after she was discovered unresponsive at her home at Morton on the Hill, near Norwich.
She died at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge two days later.
At the opening held at the Norfolk Coroner’s Court in Norwich on Wednesday, the medical cause of death was given as head injury.
Senior coroner Jacqueline Lake suspended the inquest as the baby’s parents Christopher Easey, 30, and Carly Easey, 35, of Old Roman Bank, Terrington St Clement, face criminal charges.
A pre-inquest review will be held at Norfolk Coroner’s Court on January 27, 2021.
Both have denied murder, causing or allowing the death of a child and cruelty charges and are due to stand trial next March.
