FOOTBALL: Match of the day in the MG Building Maintenance North West Norfolk League came in Division Two, where Terrington Tigers and Watlington Sports & Social Club shared an incredible 13 goals.

Hat-tricks from Joshua Ford and Daniel Harpley ensured the visitors came out on top, eventually prevailing 8-5 with James Douglas and Ben Fenn adding the other goals.

Tom Stone also struck a treble for Terrington, with Adam Archer and Jordan Collison getting the rest.

Almost as thrilling was the encounter at West Winch William Burt, where leaders Upwell Town hit back from 2-1 down at half-time to win 6-2. Michael Chow got a hat-trick with Sam Cubberley 2 and Jesse Hemmings also on the scoresheet. Jack Bradley got both goals for the hosts.

Antony Carlton was another hat-trick hero, helping AFC Lynn Napier Reserves to their first points of the season in style. They also hit back from behind to win 5-1 at Ingoldisthorpe, with Wayne Codona and Joshua Mortimer adding their other goals, Phillip Bradshaw had given the home team the interval advantage.

Arron Raven 2 and Tom Hawkins gave Docking Rangers a 3-0 win at Dersingham Rovers Development.

Snettisham are off the mark in Division One, getting their first win in four outings, seeing off Gayton United A 2-0.

Manager Liam Kerr roused his weakened squad to great effect and two pin-point headers from veteran Mark Sainty, clinched a match well controlled by the referee Andrew Cornwall.

Man of the match was Luke Thomason, the youngest player on the pitch.

Nathan Powley 2, Callum Cotley, Matthew Weeds and Matthew Wolfe eased Denver to their first win, seeing off Reffley 5-0. 

Heacham Reserves held their nerve in a thriller at Birchwood, coming out 5-3 victors. Ahmed Rhaouti 2, Kayvan Rawlings, Lee Toll and Kodie Turvey got the visitors’ goals with Bradley Wilson 2 and Scott Black replying.

Terrington Reserves were also involved in high-scoring defeat in Division Three, going down 6-4 at Docking Reserves, where Joshua Gray 2, Chris Shipton and Charlie Wilkshire struck for the away side.

Eight goals failed to separate Marshland Reserves and KLSC Reserves. David Abbott, Charlie Dungay, Jack Gaunt and Harvey Pearce found the way to goal for the home side with Richard Newell 2, Mohamed Nasr and Daniel Berry cancelling them out.

Colin Farr’s second-half goal gave Watlington Reserves a 1-1 draw with Weeting Saxon, while Daniel Fuller’s brace helped Ingoldisthorpe Reserves to a 3-0 win at The Woottons.

In the Norfolk County FA Primary Cup, there were first round wins for Dersingham Reserves (2-1 v Northwold), Clenchwarton (4-0 at Hunstanton, where Connor Pullen got a hat-trick) and Reffley Reserves (2-1 v Hockering Reserves).

It was a day of blanks in the Barnes Print Central & South Norfolk League Junior Cup with a 3-0 loss for Feltwell United and a 2-0 reversal for Castle Acre Swifts Reserves.

Better news in Division Four, where South Creake marched on with a 4-1 win at MJ Dons.
