BOWLS: Saturday was marked at King’s Lynn Bowls Club with a fundraising afternoon which included raffles, competitions, bangers and burgers and bowling on the green.
President for 2020 Lesley Stringer (pictured right) together with Geoff Upton, president for 2021, presented the trophies to the winners of the club competitions after the club’s charity event took place, which raised £500 for the stroke unit at Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
A spokesman for the club said: “Many thanks to all our members for their support through this difficult and challenging season.
“The green will re-open on Saturday, April 10, 2021. We look forward to greeting members old and new.”
King’s Lynn Bowls Club held its finals weekend at the end of last month.

The spokesman added: “The club wants to thank all members who have helped to make the best possible success during these challenging times, helping to observe necessary compliance with the government and Bowls England guidance.”
