A village yard sale organised at the last minute proved a hit with residents in Heacham.
Organiser Janet Race suggested an event be held in a post on the village Facebook page after she enjoyed a yard sale in Snettisham.
Within a couple of days, she had been inundated by people wanting to sign-up and offering to lend a hand.
In the end, around 70 households took part in the sale just a week later on Sunday and the village was buzzing with activity.
“I think it just came at the right time for everyone,” Mrs Race said.
“I’ve had such lovely feedback and the village had a real community feel about it.”
Hundreds of pounds was raised on the day for a variety of good causes, including Macmillan Cancer Care, after some stallholders decided to collect donations.
The socially-distanced event gave people a chance to catch-up with their neighbours and it was the first outing some residents had for a long time, Mrs Race added.
Another sale looks set to be held in the spring.
