Essential pavement repair work, costing around £37,000, is due to begin in Heacham on Monday, September 7.
A new surface is to be laid on a section of Hunstanton Road and kerbs will also be repaired and replaced.
The work is expected to take around four weeks and the road will be closed.
There will be signed diversions and Norfolk County Council said access to businesses would be maintained at all times for vehicles and pedestrians.
However, due to the nature of the work, the council is warning residents there may be occasions when vehicle access to individual homes is restricted for a time as work takes place in front of driveways, a council spokesman said.
The works will be carried out by the council’s community and environmental services department and its contractors.
