Hospital staff were treated to a free thank you night out at the revamped Majestic Cinema in King’s Lynn.

Around 40 staff from the town’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital were able to sit back and relax at the venue last Thursday and watch  Summerland in the refurbished Screen 2, with its new comfy seating.

Majestic manager Tom Cundy said the idea of a thank you night was originally suggested in the early stages of lockdown  and he said QEH staff enjoyed their first night out together.

Free refreshments were provided, but Mr Cundy said the guests insisted on paying for their own.

QEH worker Alexandra Harris, a friend of Mr Cundy, helped organise the event and brought along goody bags.

The screening also gave the cinema a chance to test the facilities, which re-opened the following day.
