Business continues at The Walks as another new name has been added to the Linnets squad.

Nineteen year-old Scottish goalkeeper Archie Mair has joined the King’s Lynn club on a season-long loan deal from Norwich City, Mair is a Scottish Under 19 international and picked up six caps.

At 6ft 5 inches tall, Mair will be something different for Ian Culverhouse to consider for the up and coming National League campaign and will offer some strong competition to long serving keeper Alex Street for the number one shirt.

Linnets director of football Rob Back said: “We are extremely pleased to be able to bring Archie to The Walks for the new season. He is an extremely talented young man and we are all looking forward to working with him on the training pitch and then in full action very soon.

“Norwich City hold Archie in a high regard so we are very grateful to Norwich City for allowing him to come to us for the new season.”

King’s Lynn Town Football Club has thanked Norwich City’s sporting director  Stuart Webber and the club’s loan’s manager Neil Adams for their assistance in this arrangement.

The signing follows on from last season’s National League North player of the season and golden boot winner Adam Marriott agreeing terms. The 29 year-old striker has become a favourite among Lynn supporters since his signing from Boston United in October 2018.
