Adam Marriott has agreed to stay at The Walks to help King's Lynn Town in their debut season in the National League's Premier Division.

The waiting is over for all King’s Lynn Town supporters, writes Chris Milsom.

Last season’s National League North player of the season and golden boot winner Adam Marriott has decided where he will be spending the 2021/21 season.

And it is good news for Linnets fans, he has agreed terms to spearhead the team’s attack in the club’s maiden National League Premier Division campaign.

The 29 year old striker has become a real favourite at The Walks since signing from Boston United in October 2018. He has plundered a remarkable 58 goals from only 76 appearances in the blue and gold, with 30 of those strikes coming last season to propel the Linnets to the National League North title.

The former Lincoln City striker has formed a formidable partnership with the experienced Michael Gash over the past two seasons and now Town supporters will be able to see them renew their double act when the action begins.

Linnets director of football Rob Back said: “Everyone at the football club is delighted that Maz has agreed to stay with us for next season.

“It’s been a real slog to get this deal over the line but everything is now completed, which I think is a real shot in the arm for our supporters, sponsors and everyone who has an interest in King’s Lynn Town Football Club.

“I think Adam has always wanted to stay with us and I think that we are now also able to offer National League football to him as well has swayed his decision.

“He’s a proven scorer and I’m looking forward to seeing him bulging the net again in our colours next season. I thank everyone who has assisted in getting this deal arranged and confirmed.”
