Safer Summer Staycation

Police have launched an investigation after two men and a woman were attacked by a large group in Wootton Park.

Officers said two men and two women were walking together through the park at North Wootton, just after midnight on Sunday when a group of around 15 men approached them.

The men tried to speak to the trio before attacking the two male victims “with a series of punches” and then assaulting one of the women.

“Some of the suspects within the group were thought to be carrying bottles of alcohol,” a police spokesman said.

Anyone with information, or CCTV footage of large groups from the area at the time is asked to contact PC Nicola Biggs at King’s Lynn Police Station on 101, quoting crime number 36/46557/20.

Alternatively, call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 55511.
