ANGLING: Sport on Nar Valley Fisheries’ Lake Geneva has slowed a little over the past couple of weeks, with as many big tench and bream being caught as big carp.
This does not mean the stream of specimen fish has dried up though.
Fenn Lake has been consistently producing carp to more than 30lb and Wels catfish to 40lb-plus.
New member Adam Howes got his big fish account off to a flying start with a 31lb 8oz common carp and another common of 25lb.
Another lake producing well is John’s Pond. It is proving to be the place for Wels catfish with a season’s best from this lake of 42lb 11oz falling to another new member.
Mark Thorpe had three ‘Cats’ of 29lb 1oz, 28lb 5oz and 13lb 14oz from the venue.
This week John’s Pond has also recorded tench of 9lb and 11lb along with common carp to 24lb.
