When trips to the seaside had to be cancelled, care home staff brought the beach to the residents instead.

The team at King’s Lynn Residential, in Kettlewell Lane,  created Hunstanton beach in the garden, complete with sand, paddling, traditional games, buckets and spades and fish and chips.

They also used a backdrop to provide ocean views and there were even inflatable seagulls flying overhead.

Manager Jodi Collins said: “The residents would have enjoyed several trips out this year, but have not been able to because of the virus. So, we brought the beach to them.”
