A funeral directors has shown its appreciation to care home staff for their hard work during the coronavirus pandemic.

Staff from the Co-operative Funeralcare’s Gaywood Funeral Home, based in Wootton Road, delivered gifts to carers at two care homes in King’s Lynn, Amberley Hall and Briar House.

The gesture took place during Carers Week, June 8 to 14, which is a national annual campaign brought to life by thousands of individuals and organisations who come together to provide support for carers.

Laura Crowley of Co-op Funeralcare said: “We have such close relationships with care homes in our region and know first-hand the wonderful work they do caring for their residents all year round, never mind during what has been such a challenging time.

“Therefore, it was a pleasure to mark Carers Week by showing appreciation for what staff there are doing on the frontline with a little token of thanks.”
