The Duke of Cambridge visited a bakery shop in King’s Lynn’s town centre today.
Staff at Smiths the Bakers presented Prince William with a birthday cake ahead of his 38th birthday on Sunday, which is also Father’s Day.
He chatted to owners Paul and Teresa Brandon about how the pandemic had affected their business, which re-opened its High Street shop on Monday.
The bakers, can trace its roots back to the 1930s when it was based in Saddlebow Road, South Lynn, before moving to Lynn’s London Road, where it has been since 1971.
It opened its High Street shop where the Duke visited today, three years ago.
For almost 30 years the business has proudly held the Royal Warrant, supplying the royal family’s Norfolk residence.
