A total of 31 rounds had been played and the scores/standings – as listed left – come immediately back into play when our free, prediction-based football competition starts again tomorrow (Saturday).

Anyone is welcome to join with no registration required. There are £325 worth of prizes still up for grabs so why not try your luck by submitting your entries for Round 32 to @GavinCaney on Twitter or by emailing gavin@yourlocalpaper.co.uk by 3pm tomorrow.

Back to March…

Four points are available for correct answers for part a) –
if you correctly guess the team (or draw) who will get the most corners.

Eight points are available for correctly guessing the number of corners in the game.

12 points are available for each match – of which there are four each round.

48 points are available for each round

The next three rounds (including results gained from Round 31, see above) will count towards ‘March’s’ top-scorer prize.

The player with the most points from those rounds
(31, 32, 33 & 34) will win £25.

How it works going forward…

• Rounds 35, 36, 37 and 38 will count for ‘April’s’
top-scorer prize. The player with the most points from these rounds will win £25.

• The final three rounds will count for May’s top-scorer prize. The player with the most points from those rounds (39, 40 and 41) will win £25.

• The player with the most points after round 41 will win the £250 end-of-season prize.

• Due to complexity issues around tiebreakers (usually the total number of corners for the month), a new method will be used if required to decide any ‘monthly’ winners. This will be decided by drawing a name of an eligible player from the hat at random with the chosen name triumphing.

• If a tiebreak is needed to separate two or more players at the end of the season, the one with the most round wins throughout the competition will triumph. If that does not separate them, the winner will be drawn at random.

• The competition’s conclusion is based on current Premier League and Government guidance and plans around the global pandemic and is subject to change at any time.
