Primark in King’s Lynn High Street is set to re-open on Monday, June 15.

The discount retailer is preparing to open all of its 153 stores in England that day, it announced. Boris Johnson announced last week that all non-essential shops, including clothes shops and department stores, could re-open from June 15 provided strict hygiene and social distancing measures were in place.

This week also saw McDonald’s open its drive-through premises at Hardwick in Lynn and in Clenchwarton Road, West Lynn, on Wednesday.

• The owner of Frankie & Benny’s and Garfunkels is to close up to 120 sites, it has been announced. It is understood Frankie & Benny’s, which has a restaurant in Lynn, will be most affected, but the sites set to close have not been named.
