Picnic time for the Page-Heyes family from Downham Market.

We received lots of your VE Day celebration pictures and here some which didn’t make last week’s edition.

Louise Page sent in pictures of the Page-Heyes family celebrations in Downham Market which included decorating the house and a picnic/afternoon tea.

“My partner drew the pictures of Winston Churchill and Boris Johnson,” she said adding the family dressed in red, white and blue.

Students at the College of West Anglia in King’s Lynn marked the occasion in several ways. Some completed an RAF challenge to run or cycle 80K within an 80-day period to also mark this year’s 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

They managed the feat in just eight hours on VE Day with students, staff and family members covering 134km over different distances.

Foundation students created VE Day arts and crafts and Ben Daniels came up with a VE Day menu and served the food at a family party.
