Up to 15 new jobs could be created under plans for a new drive-through Costa in King’s Lynn.
The coffee giant and Perland Properties Ltd are seeking planning permission for the new cafe on the St Nicholas Retail Park in Edward Benefer Way.
Costa already has branches in Lynn High Street, the Vancouver Quarter, the Hardwick Industrial Estate and at Next on the Pierpoint Retail Park. There is also a Costa at the town’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The plans, submitted to West Norfolk Council this week, show a single-storey cafe building with a drive-through lane near Domino’s and Carousel Cafe.
A report supporting the application said the build would make good use of an under-used section of car park and have a “positive impact on the character and vibrancy of the local area”.
