The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn.

There have been 22 patients who have tested positive for coronavirus at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn.

The hospital’s chief executive Caroline Shaw, confirmed the rise in cases in a message to colleagues, which she shared on Twitter this afternoon.

She said the hospital expects a “peak in demand for beds and critical care” around April 11 to 17.

Mrs Shaw added she was extremely proud of her staff and thanked them for “going above and beyond” to ensure the safety of patients.
