The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn has tightened visiting rules during the coronavirus pandemic.

Visiting is no longer allowed on wards until further notice – only with the following exceptions:

  • One parent permitted to accompany children
  • One birthing partner permitted to attend the maternity department
  • One carer is permitted to the emergency department, but must remain with the patient at all times
  • Exceptions can be discussed with ward managers if a relative is receiving end-of-life care

A hospital spokesman said the new restrictions was to to reduce the number of visitors to the site to protect patients.

Inpatients who have tested positive for COVID-19 and patients awaiting test results for COVID-19 should not receive visitors.
