West Norfolk Mayor Geoff Hipperson visited the Constructionarium site at Bircham Newton to see how American students from Texas were getting on as they spent their spring vacation in West Norfolk.
Students from A&M University spent a week on site creating scaled down replicas of famous structures, such as London’s iconic Gherkin.
Mr Hipperson said: “Since 2004, more than 13,000 students have taken part in one of these fantastic projects, putting the theory they learn at university into practice.
“I am delighted to find this organisation thriving. It is such an asset to West Norfolk and a superb way to inspire the next generation.”
Constructionarium is a not-for-profit organisation which provides learning experiences for those studying in the construction industry.
It is located within the grounds of the National Construction College.
