King’s Lynn-based Loose Change.

A King’s Lynn band is set to be part of the line-up for the next round of Battle of the Bands.

Five-piece Loose Change, formed in September while at college, is due to perform in round three of the competition on Sunday at The Wildfowler, in Gayton Road, Gaywood, from 3pm.

The band plays a range of different music but particularly likes classic rock, alternate and blues. All five have a passion for music and bring their own styles and energy to the stage. They also enjoy writing their own music.

Loose Change will be up against Black Spire, a four-piece blues rock band from Norfolk; Cambridge-based, five-piece rock and blues band Pawn Hearts and four-piece Wisbech band The Sky Lights.

On the solo/duo act side of the competition, three more acts have gone through to the final after Friday’s round at The White Hart in Lynn.

Duo Almost Mellow, solo acoustic act Reyze and  Ellie Dixon complete the final line up of the Twisted Melon organised competition.

Organiser Triston Finnis said he was “blown away” by this heat.

“It’s the only time I can remember every single act being worthy of winning the whole competition.

“That made it extremely unfortunate for the three acts that didn’t make it, but great for Twisted Melon and Festival Too.”

The solo/duo final will take place at The Wildfowler on Sunday, April 5 starting at 3pm.
