ANGLING: There is not long left of the coarse fishing season at Nar Valley Fisheries, which close on March 31.
Members are making the most of the current mild weather. Fenn Lake is always a good winter venue for carp with double figure and mid-20lb fish the target. Last weekend saw most anglers on the water bank fish in this range.
The bream of John’s Pond are on the move with specimen fish showing well.
Carp in Lake Geneva have started to feed well and are rolling to give away their locations. A good number have been caught from all round the lake with Matt Heath having a session to remember. He managed to drop on to a group of willing fish, resulting in a couple of superb mirror carp weighing in at a massive 43lb 8oz and 36lb exactly.
