Soroptomists in King’s Lynn will mark International Women’s Day with a day of celebration next weekend.
The Women Alive event, organised by Soroptomist International of King’s Lynn, will take place at St Nicholas’ Chapel next Sunday with an array of stands and workshops from 10am to 4pm.
Julie Williams, programme action officer, said: “The day will include the return of Bollywood dancing from 2pm to 3pm with everyone welcome to join in with the fun.
“There will also be the popular smoothie bike to try out as well as arm chair yoga.”
International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
Soroptomist International is a leading global women’s voluntary organisation, focusing on transforming the lives of women and girls through education, empowerment and enabling initiatives.
