A play written by a Hunstanton man is set to take to the stage in Norwich next month.

The Last Crumb is an original work of award-winning playwright Tobias Nicholls, 36, and will be performed by Purple Dreams Productions on Saturday, March 7 at The Garage Theatre and other venues countrywide.

Purple Dreams Productions is a self-funded group formed in 2012 and based in Norfolk. Members have been touring theatres for the past seven years with original plays written by founder and creative director Mr Nicholls, who has lived in Hunstanton for most of his life and has spent all his working life in the theatre in various roles on and off stage.

Mr Nicholls formed Purple Dreams as an am-dram group and he has won many awards both as an actor and for his original scripts. In 2011 Purple Dreams became a professional touring theatre company.

As well as writing plays, Mr Nicholls also acts and directs. When not touring theatres, he and Purple Dreams also organise Murder Mysteries, Theatre in Education and pantomimes in schools. Away from the group, Mr Nicholls also does film and television work.
