Time is running out.

But the clock is still ticking for anyone who wants to be in the crowd for an evening of football chat, laughs and opinion next month.

There’s less than two weeks left until the third Caney’s Corner Live – brought to you by Your Local Paper in association with AMA Waste – when former Manchester United player Lee Sharpe brings his hilarious anecdotes to The Duke’s Head Hotel.

Although VIP tickets sold out within days there are still ‘standard’ £20 tickets available for the Thursday, March 5, event, which is being hosted by sports columnist Gavin Caney.

Just like the first show with Darren Huckerby and Iwan Roberts, and the second with Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock, a bumper crowd is expected to enjoy the fun. However, there’s still room to squeeze in some extra bodies before Sharpey arrives in town.

We’re excited to give you two chances of attending the first of, hopefully, four ‘Evening With…’ type events in 2020.

Firstly, if you want to try and be there for free, you’re more than welcome to enter our competition where we are giving away the chance to win two pairs of tickets – a pair each for both of the lucky readers who win the competition (see details in bold/italics below). Secondly, if entering lucky draws isn’t your thing, you can simply buy £20 tickets online instead (details below).

To win a pair of tickets, worth £40, (two pairs available) for an Evening with Lee Sharpe, simply answer the following question:

What night is Lee Sharpe coming to King’s Lynn for Your Local Paper presents Caney’s Corner Live?

A: March 5

B: June 5

C: December 5

Email your answers to gavin@yourlocalpaper.co.uk before 11pm on Wednesday February 26.

Correct answers only will be drawn at random and winners will be notified by email on Thursday, February 27.

Top deals at Duke’s Head

It’s awesome to hear that some ticket holders are going to take up the opportunity of making a night of Lee Sharpe’s visit to King’s Lynn.

Rooms, at a reduced rate of £69, have been taken by some guests who have decided to stay over at the Duke’s Head – the Tuesday Market Place hotel that will be, for the third time, hosting our Caney’s Corner Live evening.

The best bit is if you’re interested there’s still plenty of time for you to take advantage of the offering. You can do so by calling 01553 774996 or speaking to someone at reception.

If needing somewhere to rest your head isn’t what you’re after, you can still extend your evening out by having food at the Duke’s before the show starts at 7.30pm.

Any valid ticket holder (email confirmation or physical ticket must be produced) can dine with the Duke’s on the same day (March 5) and receive 25 per cent off their food bill in either Massey & Co or Turners.

Neither deal can be booked online and must be mentioned at the time of booking the room or table.
