ATHLETICS: Three Ryston Runners headed to Lee Valley for the Eastern Indoor Athletics Championships.

Rob MacQueen starred by winning the bronze medal in the u20 men’s 400m, with an indoor personal best time of 53.27 seconds. 

David MacQueen (u15 boys) ran a fast 7.73secs in his 60m heat to progress to the semi-final but missed out on the final, despite another good run of 7.77 in the semi.

Simon Carty (senior men) reached the final of the 200m with an indoor personal best time of 24.54mins but was unable to stay to compete in the final.

Spain-based members Pete and Cath Duhig took part in road races in Orihuela, Alicante.

Pete ran over a 8k course and clocked 41.37, while his wife Cath race-walked the half marathon in a time of 2hrs 20mins 09secs.
