Linnets manager Ian Culverhouse directs operations against York.

FOOTBALL: King’s Lynn Town went into Saturday’s game on a high after manager Ian Culverhouse agreed a two-and-a-half-year deal to continue as manager.

The former Norwich City defender guided the Linnets to promotion from the Southern League last season and has agreed to stay at The Walks until the end of the 2022 season.

He rejoined Lynn from Grantham Town in October 2018 and proceeded to earn a play-off place for his team ,where they won two Southern League play-off games and a ‘super’ play-off final at Warrington in May.

This season Town have been a revelation in the National League North.

Speaking to the club’s website director of football Rob Back said: “I think it’s great news for the club, its supporters and the players.

“This will now ensure that Ian will be able to continue to build upon the strong foundations he has already built.”
