St Clement’s High School pupils with their collection for King’s Lynn Foodbank.

Thoughtful pupils from St Clement’s High School in Terrington St Clement have donated food and festive treats to King’s Lynn Foodbank.

Year seven and eight students decorated and filled boxes and some individual students put together complete Christmas parcels.

A spokesman for the school said: “Students were keen to do something positive for the local community in the lead up to Christmas and were excited to have the opportunity to help others.”

The food bank is one of the charities Your Local Paper is collecting for through our Winter Appeal.

We are asking our readers to donate items such as tinned tomatoes, tinned meat, tinned and microwave puddings, small bottles of squash, UHT milk, toiletries and toilet roll which we will pass on to the charity, along with The Purfleet Trust and King’s Lynn Winter Night Shelter.

Today (Friday) is the last day before Christmas that we can accept donations at our temporary office at Shakespeare Barn, 5 St George’s Courtyard, King Street, King’s Lynn.

We will be accepting donations again  in the New Year.
