There was a special guest when pupils performed their Nativity at Whitefriars Primary Academy in King’s Lynn.

West Norfolk Mayor Geoff Hipperson joined the audience of proud parents and families for the reception and year one production last week.

Youngsters sang and danced their way through The Nativity in three shows staged over three days.

Speaking after the performance, Mr Hipperson congratulated staff and pupils for all the hard work they had put into rehearsals.

Pupils in all age groups have been busy preparing for Christmas, with activities including a Christingle service, bauble competition, PTA craft fair, discos and a whole-school trip to see the panto at Lynn Corn Exchange.

Teacher Zoe Warren said: “The children worked really hard learning their lines and singing their songs. They did a fantastic job and we are really proud of them all.”
