TAG RUGBY: A record-breaking West Norfolk School Sports Partnership tag rugby festival saw 36 school teams in action.

A cup competition attracted 19 entrants with a further 17 competing in a development festival, in which scores were not recorded.

The overall cup winners were South Wootton Junior School and other teams competing included North Wootton, St Martha’s, Reffley, Gayton, Howard and Terrington.

The tournament was at West Norfolk RFC, with action taking place across eight pitches.

The club were thanked for hosting the event and preparing the pitches, with gratitude expressed to sports leaders from the West Norfolk Leadership Academy, who had recently completed a refereeing course.

School sports co-ordinator Tracy Bower said: “A great day of rugby was had by all who took part.”
