James Wild who was elected as MP for North West Norfolk

A senior special advisor to Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he is “delighted” to have been selected as North West Norfolk Conservative Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for next month’s general election.

James Wild, 42, grew up in North Walsham and is currently based at Westminster.

If elected, he pledged to press to get more funding for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn.

“As someone who voted to leave, I want to help break the Brexit deadlock,” he said.

“My campaign is focused on more funding to help improve services at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, to dual the A47 and get half-hourly train services, and to protect our countryside.”

Mr Wild will be fighting the seat currently held by Sir Henry Bellingham, who is not standing for re-election.
