A new one-off fund has been launched to help West Norfolk to celebrate VE and VJ Days next year.

The fund, created by West Norfolk Council, was launched on Sunday ahead of the Remembrance celebrations in King’s Lynn with  the help of war veterans.

Non-profit groups, including voluntary and community groups, parish and town councils, charities, churches, social enterprises, community interest companies and schools can apply for up to £100.

The money is intended to support a range of schemes, including educational activities, community events and projects, but not outings or visits.

The deadline for applications will be next month, Friday, December 20.

To apply, go online to the website:  www.norfolkfoundation.com/funding-support/grants/groups/kings-lynn-west-norfolk-borough-council-celebrating-ve-and-vj-day-2020/

Victory in Europe Day will be marked on Friday, May 8 and Victory over Japan Day on Saturday, August 15 next year.
