The curtain is set to rise next week on the latest production by members of King’s Lynn Operatic and Dramatic Society.

The cast will present the classic Oscar Wilde comedy, The Importance of Being Earnest, at the town’s St George’s Guildhall in King Street.

The opening performance will be on Thursday and performances continue until Saturday at 7.30pm each evening and a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

A society spokesman said the traditional version of this three-act play will be performed as the writer intended, covering the playful lives of the two young men whose lives are more closely linked than expected, and a family with a secret yet to be uncovered.

Tickets are priced at £10 for all performances and available from the Lynn Corn Exchange website www.kingslynncornexchange.co.uk or from the box office by calling 01553 764864.
