Organisations, businesses and individuals in West Norfolk are preparing to take part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

On or around Friday, September 27, kettles will be at the ready at various venues to raise cash for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Below are details for some of the coffee mornings planned:

Today Friday, September 20

• Barclays, 91 to 92 High Street, cake sale, 9.30am – 12.30pm.

Monday, September 23:

King’s Lynn:

• Providence Street Community Centre, 10am to 2pm.

Friday, September 27: 

King’s Lynn:

• The Hub at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, 9.30am to 12.30pm.

• Marks and Spencer, High Street,  coffee morning weekend begins, Wizard of Oz theme.

North Creake:

• Church Street, 10.30am to noon.

West Dereham:

• Village Hall, all cakes and donations welcome. Cakes and tea/coffee available, 10am.

West Winch:

• William Burt Social Club, all day from 8.30am. Coffee, cake, activities, hog roast and charity football match.


• Southery Village Hall, 10am to noon. Refreshments, stalls, games, raffles, competitions and a grand draw, plus a bingo at 7.30pm.

Saturday, September 28: 


• Manor Park, 10.30am to 2pm. Raffle and Christmas presents stalls.

Sunday, September 29:

King’s Lynn:

• Dukes Head Hotel, Tuesday Market Place, 10am to noon.
