South Wootton Beer Festival has seen its “biggest year yet” after raising more than £10,000 for The Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House.
The two-day festival, held last weekend, saw around 7,000 people soak up the community spirit as well as the sunshine.
Festival chairman Cliff Kendle said: “It went really, really well. Much better than last year. This time we had the field fenced-off so the event was more controlled and we had fantastic weather. Everyone enjoyed it. It was lovely and chilled. A proper family event.”
Mr Kendle paid tribute to singing duo act Amy and Eve who stepped in at the last hour to replace a band which had to cancel due to illness.
He said: “They were fantastic and did a three-hour set. They were the stars of the event.”
