Summer workshops as youngsters take to the stage.

A series of summer workshops proved a big hit with youngsters.

Members of King’s Lynn’s Shakespeare’s Guildhall Trust organised the workshops and chairman Ivor Rowlands said: “I am delighted with the huge response for our three day workshops, aimed at eight to 16 year-olds.

“In addition to the seasoned performers, many were new to the stage and had never set foot in our wonderful 600 year-old Guildhall theatre.”

Stand Up Comedy for Kids was run by Tim FitzHigham, a professional comic, Play in a Day Macbeth was hosted by Jennifer Kitchen, a Shakespeare youth director, and Musical Theatre by Sharon Fox and Sam Ashby. Following on from this success, the trust said it will be  holding more workshops.
