ATHLETICS: Renegade Runners featured at the last of the five-race Peterborough 5K Series.

In the juniors 3k, Lola Kidman was fifth girl overall and second u11 girl, despite being only nine, 12.24mins, 24th overall. 

Thomas Elsdon was the youngest runner in the race but finished in the top half, 32nd of 76 in 12.50.

In the main 5K race, Matt Pyatt picked up a top six finish in the last 100 metres and won his M40 age group for the third race running. 

Kevin Farquhar ran 20.15 for 80th and Ian Kidman was 113th in 21.45 after recovering from a calf injury.

Lisa Pyatt was 150th overall and fourth M40, completing all five races. Steve Farquhar continued his personal best form running another in 27.30.

Darren Elsdon returned from an enforced absence, clocking 27.39, while Charlie Pyatt ran his best race in the three he has done, running 38.12.

Further afield visiting relatives in her native Poland, Irena Marcinek flew the Renegades flag at a tough 10k on Saturday, finishing third W40. 

At the Sublime 24-hour race, ultra runner Karl Baxter covered just over 100 miles to finish fifth overall in the gruelling event.
