The Queen surprised villagers in Dersingham last Friday when she made a private visit to the new village centre.
Her majesty unveiled a plaque at the facility, opened in October on the site of the former church hall which was extended and refurbished to create a flexible community space.
She was greeted by pupils from Dersingham Primary School waving flags and was presented with flowers by village teenager Phoebe Ward.
Facilities at the £1.1m project include a large hall and stage, meeting rooms, a central hub space and fully equipped kitchen.
The centre can be used for classes, private celebrations, meetings, theatrical events and other activities.
Trustee Sue Payne said: “It was lovely. We were all chuffed and thrilled that she came along. It went very well and she seemed to be quite impressed.”
