Winners, guests and members at King’s Lynn Golf Club’s annual mixed open competition.

GOLF: Aldeburgh pair Tessa and John Summers came out victorious as 80 players from 30 clubs took part in King’s Lynn Golf Club’s annual mixed open.

They scored 43 points, one ahead of Royal Cromer’s Jackie and Mike Luetchford, with Jo and David Ashmore, from Bawburgh, third after finishing on 41 points. 

Countback was needed to separate Monica and Bruce Dorrington, from Eaton, and Greetham Valley’s Rachell Nicholls and Wayne Porter who both scored 40 points, with the former taking fourth place. 

The best front nine score was recorded by Simon Tate and Kelly Saunders, from Diss, with 21 points, and the best back nine went to Alan and Clare Shaw with 22 points on countback. 

Nearest the pin on the fifth for the men was Chris Cooper, from Eaton, and Monica Dorrington, from Eaton, was nearest the pin on the 16th.

Nearest the pin on the 18th in two went to Stowmarket’s Jane Darling.
