Families enjoyed music, displays and plenty of ice-cream at a fun day held in King’s Lynn.

After a year’s absence, the 21st event, organised by the King’s Lynn Lions Club, returned to The Walks on Sunday.

Club member Mike Parsons said: “We didn’t have a fun day last year, but we decided to resurrect it for this year. It was a really good family day.

“The Pinxton Puppets went down really well with the children. There was a circus workshop, juggling acts and a big fairground.”

During the fun day, held between 1pm and 4.30pm, the Hilgay Brass Band provided the music.

“The ice-cream van was very busy – there were people queuing throughout,” said Mr Parsons.

“What is needed with events like this is the weather, and, we were really lucky on Sunday.

“But I would like to thank the people of King’s Lynn for supporting us and, also club president Paul Southerton for all his hard work to organise the fun day.”
