Green-fingered youngsters enjoyed spending time planting when the  Vancouver Quarter in King’s Lynn held a Mini Gardeners’ Club.

The free family event was packed with children last Saturday. They planted a variety of fruit and vegetables which they took home to grow.

“Our Saturday Clubs are incredibly popular and this was one of our favourites this year because it was all about nature and how things grow.

“The children were fascinated and we all had a great time,” said events co-ordinator Susannah Rayner.

“It is also really nice to be able to spark an interest in the natural world at a young age and we hope they all enjoy eating the results of their hard work,” she added.

The drop-in session was the latest in a range of popular events being organised by the shopping centre as part of its Saturday Clubs.

The next event will be Saturday, June 15 with activities for Father’s Day from 10am to 3pm.
