Dorothy Rawlings presented the trophy to winners Ken and Julie Harpley. Gerald Cross and Penny Dossetor were the runners-up.

PETANQUE: The second Bob Rawlings Memorial Trophy event was held last Friday at the Farmers Arms, Knights Hill.

Mr Rawlings was the founder of the game of petanque in King’s Lynn U3A in 2000.

The 16 competitors were randomly paired for the doubles competition, consisting of four rounds and a final. 

Winners were Ken and Julie Harpley, with Gerald Cross and Penny Dossetor finishing as runners-up.

The trophy was presented by Dorothy Rawlings, Mr Rawlings’ widow.
