Snap On Diagnostics in King’s Lynn has smashed its fundraising target to raise £1,182 for cancer patients at the town’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Staff at the firm, based on the Hardwick Industrial Estate, nominate a different cause to support each year.

Last year they chose the Cancer Care and Treatment Fund at Lynn’s QEH, organising a variety of events including bake sales and raffles.

Snap On Diagnostics employs  141 people but a majority of the money was raised by the 62-strong team based in the office.

Georgina Clark, HR manager, said they had set a £500 target so they were delighted by the total.

“It’s  great because it’s all done by the workforce rather than being company-funded,” she added.

This year the team is supporting the East Anglian Air Ambulance and fundraising is already well under way.
