Nicholas Searle, left who will be replacing Bernard Ducker, right.

After 26 years a hotel manager of a West Norfolk hotel has decided to head for the coast.

Bernard Ducker joined Knights Hill Hotel, near King’s Lynn, in 1992.

But now the general manager has decided to head for the coast and will now work for sister Best Western hotel, Le Strange Arms in Old Hunstanton.

Mr Ducker said he would miss the locals, holidaymakers and his team.

“It was not an easy decision but I am looking forward to further developing the Le Strange Arms to meet emerging challenges in the industry and will ensure that the hotel continues to offer a quality experience to all who stay or visit,” he said.

Operations manager Nicholas Searle who first worked at the hotel as a kitchen porter 19 years ago, will be replacing Mr Ducker.

He said: “I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to undertake the position of general manager and I am looking forward to the challenges this brings.”
