Hundreds of King’s Lynn school children got the chance to enjoy as many fairground rides as they could when they visited the town’s Mart.
The morning of free entertainment was laid on by Lynn’s Trinity Rotary Club and the Showmen’s Guild who run the annual fair.
Around 400 youngsters who might otherwise not get the chance to visit the Mart, packed the Tuesday Market Place last Friday to ride the dodgems, spin on the waltzers and have their photograph taken with Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
Lawrence “ Nipper” Appleton from the Showmen’s Guild, who is also a member of Trinity Rotary, said: “It’s something we do for the local community and has grown in popularity since we started it seven or eight years ago.
“You can see how excited the children get. They love it and all look forward to coming.”
John Hardy, president of Trinity Rotary, added: “The children love visiting the Mart and have thoroughly enjoyed it.
“We are very grateful to the Showmen’s Guild for facilitating today, it means we can provide for youngsters who perhaps otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity to come here and experience the Mart.”
