SPEEDWAY: Former world speedway champion Jason Doyle will be the star guest at a live motorsport evening at the Adrian Flux Arena on Friday March 15.
Doyle will be interviewed by Your Local Paper columnist and Maze Media group project manager Gavin Caney in the first Flux Fridays event, where motorsport fans get to meet some of their heroes in an informal environment.
There will also be an opportunity for the audience to ask any burning questions of their own.
Doyle will be talking ahead of the new speedway season, which starts in April, as he gets set to try to reclaim the world crown he won in 2017.
The 33-year-old, who will be lining up for Swindon Robins in Britain’s top flight for the upcoming campaign, said: “I’m looking forward to the event.
“I think it’s a great way to meet speedway fans in an informal environment and have a laugh.
“That said you never know what questions the audience might ask so I’ll come prepared.
“I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and talking about my career and life away from the track too.”
Caney, who is hosting and helping organise the event for Maze Media on behalf of Flux, is thrilled to welcome Doyle to the Adrian Flux Arena and hopes those lucky enough to attend come armed with questions.
“This idea was born out of Adrian Flux’s continued association with motorsport,” said Caney.
“We put on a live Q&A at Oulton Park with Jason Plato and Ash Sutton – because Flux sponsor a British Touring Car Championship team – and it was a huge success.
“Hopefully we can have the same amount of insight, opinion and laughs with Doyle.”
Flux Fridays, hosted by insurance experts Adrian Flux, are being held at the Champs Bar and this exclusive event will be for only 150 lucky fans – first-come, first-served.
Tickets are £10 via Eventbrite or from the Your Local Paper office in King Street.
Doors open at 6.45pm for the event, which starts at 7.30pm.
