Sponsors of West Norfolk Gilbert and Sullivan Society’s latest performance have got together ahead of the cast’s annual performance.

Money will be raised for four charities from the sponsorship and through collections at performances of Patience at King’s Lynn’s Guildhall, from  Thursday, January 31 to Saturday, February 2.

Comedy, pathos and some wonderful music features in the  show – one of the lesser known operettas, set in the woodland surrounding a castle, as rival poets and a company of Dragoons vie for the affections of maidens.

The sponsors of this year’s production are The Mortgage Bureau, raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society; Fenton Insurance Solutions, fundraising for The Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House; Hayhow and Co, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, and Morgan Trusts and Tax Planning Limited, fundraising for Age UK.

Tickets are available from King’s Lynn Corn Exchange on 01553 764864.

The society welcomes back popular performers Denise Bridge in the title role of Patience and Anil Chakrabarti playing one of the two poets who are vying for the love of Patience.
