Sam Coote (155) will be part of the title-defending Team Bash on Sunday.

MOTOR SPORT: There is an ideal opportunity to get the family out of the house for some seasonal fun on Sunday, writes Paul Butler.

The annual festive stock car and banger meeting at the Adrian Flux Arena starts at 1pm and promises a great afternoon’s action.

There will be a massive turnout of micro bangers, running into a three-figure turnout with racing also coming from the 1300 stock cars and junior bangers.

The micro bangers will be contesting the annual East Anglian Teams tournament with teams of three drivers battling to win the top honours.

King’s Lynn-based Team Bash won the event last year and will be back to defend their title with Sam Coote, Darren Fendley and Luke Childerhouse all aiming to keep the title.

Other local drivers in action include Ben Green, who will be racing for the Allsorts.

The junior banger entry includes local stars Karl Dillon and Harry Cobb.

Cobb has a recent victory at Mildenhall to his name and he will be looking to transfer that form to his home track for the festive action.
