All the children at a King’s Lynn  school’s Nativity play proved to be little stars.

Youngsters at Whitefriars Primary Academy took to the stage for the traditional play with an added twist.

Assistant headteacher Rebekah Woodrow explained: “The Nativity play also has a star which does not shine, but all the other stars believe in him, it has a real feel-good factor about it.”

Pupils from the reception class and year one took part in the festive play, which was enjoyed by parents, carers and special guest West Norfolk Deputy Mayor, Geoff Hipperson in the audience.

“The children have worked so hard rehearsing over the past two weeks, especially the ones who haven’t had microphones,” said Mrs Woodrow.

“They have loved it – it’s their little thing to perform in front of their parents. The children have been amazing.”
